In chapter 60, Frau, controlled by the scythe, tried to eat Teito's soul, but stopped just in time. In manga chapter 95, it was revealed that by the time he was a young teenager, Frau had mastered four languages. He also learned to speak the language of Raggs , albeit not perfectly.
